Farmhand – Dryland Cropping Property

We are seeking a capable and motivated Farmhand to join a progressive family dryland

cropping operation with properties 40-60 km north of Griffith, NSW. This highly progressive

farming business grows winter crops including wheat, canola, barley, vetch, lentils and peas.

They utilises modern and well maintained equipment combined with leading edge

technology. This family has been farming in this area since 1980 and is invested in farming,

their community and their staff.

This role suits someone with some rural industry experience who is motivated to learn and

grow their skills. We are keen to get someone who will take the time to understand a process

and then take the lead.


About the Role

You will be involved in all aspects of cropping operations, working closely with the Farm

Manager to deliver high-quality production outcomes. The role includes machinery operation,

weed control, crop monitoring, and general farm maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with us to perform farming operations in a timely fashion and to a high standard

  • Operate tractors, harvesters, spray rigs, and other modern farm machinery

  • Support sowing, spraying, fertilising, and harvest programs

  • Undertake routine machinery servicing and mechanical repairs

  • General property maintenance, sheds, and infrastructure work

  • Follow WHS policies and safe work procedures


    Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience on a cropping farm

  • Confident machinery operator with strong practical skills

  • Mechanical aptitude highly regarded

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently

  • Driver’s licence is essential

  • HR/HC licence is an advantage

  • Chemcert accreditation is desirable
