Lachard Rural was founded by Richard, whose career blends hands-on agricultural experience with a strong foundation in human resource management

and business operations.

Richard began his working life in the pastoral industry across South Australia, the Northern Territory, and Queensland. In his late twenties, he pursued further education, completing a Commerce degree with majors in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations.

After university, Richard took on the role of HR Manager for a major red meat processor before stepping into operations management.

 

Over the years, he has built a wealth of experience across large-scale beef cattle enterprises, meat processing, broiler chicken farming, and broader commercial agribusiness.

Now based in Griffith, New South Wales, Richard brings practical, business-minded HR support to farming and regional service businesses. He lives locally with his wife Trudie and their two children, Lachlan and Alex.
